Did you know that for every 8 mamas that cuddle their babies, there is a mama (or dada) who is struggling to conceive, spending money at infertility clinics and taking time off work to destress in hopes that one day, it will happen.
April 21-27, 2019 is recognized as National Infertility Awareness Week by Resolve: National Infertility Association . Above this article is a bucket of hope signifying the faith for those who struggle.
This week is the time for us to remember and to understand that having a baby does not come easy for everyone. Every mama (and daddy) has a story and some of them have taken a longer road to become a parent than others. For some, this road has been paved with loss. For some, it never happens. So my point is remembering this and being sensitive about it is always a good idea.
So many young couples going through this, will be asked the question of WHEN by the randomest strangers! Next time, you see a childless couple in their 30s and you want to ask them about when are they having kids or tell them that they should have kids. Don’t! Having babies is a deeply personal matter.
Please also remember that already having one child, does not mean the second one will come easy. Don’t Pry!
If you know someone who is struggling, support them!
